This is our entry for the CODE 2014 48-Hour Contest that uses Open Data from the government of Canada. (http://data.gc.ca/).
Charity Pie is a mobile application focused on keeping Canadians informed and accountable to their role as global citizens. By selecting a country, an app user can see the total dollars contributed to that country, and how it comparatively ranks on a global scale.
The goal of this project is to provide a platform for conversation and contribution. As a donor, you can get a sense of the importance of charities in the global environment, and a look at the impact that Canadian dollars have on the world. As a registered Charitable Organization, you can instantly access new donors who are interested in my causes and organization’s policies.
